Crystal Therapy :: Rose Quartz

· · · Comments

 Welcome to the first blog series here at The Beautiful Nomad called 'Crystal Therapy'. Here, we explore different Crystal Meanings and how these crystals can heal and be used in our daily lives.

The properties here are just meant to guide you, but ultimately the most important aspect in choosing a stone is your personal connection to it. Let how you feel about a stone be what guides your relationship with it.

Time to meet one of our favourite stones: ROSE QUARTZ

Crystal Meanings: Rose Quartz

Name: Rose Quartz

Name Origin: The word 'quartz' comes from the German word 'quarz' from the mid 18th century. The word 'rose' comes from Middle or Old English and originates from the Latin word 'rosa'.

Found: Rose Quartz can be found all over the world but specifically in: South Africa, United States, Brazil, Japan, India and Madagascar.

Colour: Comes in various shades of pink, usually translucent.

Chakra: Heart

Meaning: Rose Quartz is the stone of unconditional love that purifies and opens the heart at all levels- love for oneself, family, friends, the Earth and the Universe

How can I use it?

Carry it with you: to help feel a strong sense of self worth. While rose quartz opens the heart on all levels, more importantly, it teaches us how to love ourself.

Meditate with it: encourage self love and heal emotions that keep you stuck in the past.

In the home: place in your home to encourage an atmosphere of gentle kindness and bring in harmony and love. Put rose quartz by your bedside to help attract love to you- the romantic kind- woot! If you're in a relationship it can help bring a new zest.
