What makes us different?
We keep it simple: with our designs and business philosophy. We’re always looking to pair things back to the essentials while also providing the highest quality- that’s why the majority of our malas are made up of purely one gemstone with precious accents used to highlight.
We’re all about balance: at The Beautiful Nomad we think every lifestyle can benefit from using mala beads. You don’t have to be a seasoned yogi or have a years-long meditation practice! In fact you can have no experience in these things at all. We are for the woman who is interested in all things wellness but also wants to up her style game for a night-out! My hope is to make meditation and crystals un-intimidating for those who are just beginning!
If you don’t know where to start I’ll link a few of our blog posts below to get started:

Vegan Friendly: traditionally, Malas are strung on silk and feature a silk tassel. But at The Beautiful Nomad we like to use nylon for hand-knotting our stones, its much more durable and won’t stretch over time. For our handmade tassels we use cotton thread.
Made in Vancouer, BC: we make every piece of jewelry from our Vancouver home, this allows for strict quality control and assurance that every piece meets our high standards.
Where do your stones come from?
We buy all of our supplies in North America, the majority being from Canada. We work with and support a wonderful group of small suppliers. The relationship we have built with them allows for guaranteed, beautiful quality gemstones.
Do you do custom work?
Yes- to an extent. I can only make necklaces and bracelets in the styles shown online, but I am completely happy to mix and match any stone and accent that I have in stock! Just e-mail me if you are interested!
Custom pieces are subject to a $5 fee per bracelet or $10 fee per necklace.
Do you have a retail location
No, we are primarily an online business. However we do a handful of markets and pop-ups throughout the year and we wholesale to a select number of retailers- you can find them here.
Do we accept wholesale orders?
You bet! We accept wholesale orders from retailers who share the same aesthetics and philosophies as us! If you think you would be a good fit you can e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
How to keep your tassel in tip-top shape?
If your tassel is looking a little well-loved simply dampen it with water and straighten the threads out. If there are little fuzzies that gather on the end just trim carefully with sharp scissors. Once dry, your tassel should look good as new!
How do repairs work?If your piece of jewelry is in need of repair or re-stringing simply email us a photo of the jewelry and your order number and we’ll get back to you. Your piece may be subject to a $15 re-stringing fee.
